
John Caiola brings over 40 years of culinary experience to Caffè Giovanni, having worked in various prestigious roles throughout his career. A native New Yorker, John has a rich background that includes stints as Executive Chef at renowned hotels and even serving as a personal chef for notable figures, as well as cooking for three US Presidents. His journey through the culinary world has allowed him to refine his skills and develop a deep passion for desserts, particularly authentic Italian sweets. John and Karen live in Italy for part of the year, this allows John to find and create items that are true to Italy and bring back to Caffe Giovanni. John and Karen are both sticklers for presenting only authnetic items from Italy… nothing fake will do.
At Caffè Giovanni, John channels his love for Italian desserts into every scoop of gelato and pastry served in the shop. He is dedicated to providing an experience that transports guests to Italy with each bite. Together with his wife, Karen, John aims to create a warm, inviting atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the true flavors of Italy.
